My client, a busy Acute trust is actively seeking an experienced interim NHS Procurement Specialist or Senior Category Buyer to assist the organisation during a period of transformation and turnaround.
The key outcome for this requirement will be to review current purchasing arrangements, procurement processes, contracts, for a range of consumable supplies and clinical services to ensure that the trust is getting "value of money".
Your work with be to identify the opportunity and then deliver the procurement that will result in leaner more cost effective services appropriate to the trusts requirements - ulitmately this will lead to clearly defined operational savings.
You will be key to ensuring that the trust is able to meet its challenging CIP / Turnaround targets and there is a high potential for further extensions to the orginal 3 month contract.
You will also take ownership of ensuring that accurate management information related to the procurement of trust wide services is provided to the executive team in a timely manner as this will link to the trust short and long term cost improvement programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience of procurement and buying to ensure the trust is in a strong position to deliver future savings whilst continuing to deliver high standards of clinical care.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 - 5 years procurement experience in a similar role and be able to show a proven track record of delivering against CIP agendas. Short listing will take place no later than Friday February 24th with interviews booked for week commencing February 27th.
