The North East & Cumbria Diabetes Local Research Network is one of 8 Diabetes Research Networks across the country established to achieve benefits for people with diabetes, or at risk of developing diabetes, through excellence in clinical research.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the North East & Cumbria Diabetes Local Research Network as Network Manager. You will lead and manage the Network to ensure that it continues to meet national NIHR DRN and NIHR CRN objectives. The Manager will work closely with the Network Clinical Lead and the DRN Co-ordinating Centre at Imperial College London.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, inspire and influence the research team, and provide strategic leadership to promote research activity across the Network. A working knowledge of the NIHR Research Networks and experience of working in the area of clinical research is essential.

The post will be based at the Centre for Life in Newcastle supporting partner research sites across the North East and Cumbria and parts of Yorkshire. The ability and willingness to travel to partner sites across the Network geographical area on a regular basis is an essential requirement.

Ideally you will possess diploma in business management or equivalent or masters degree or equivalent.
