Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust delivers an extensive range of acute services, to a diverse population of approximately 420,000. St Helier Hospital is the largest site within the Trust and is home to the award winning South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit, which supports eight renal satellite units across the region.
The Trust are embarking on an exciting journey of transformation which includes confirmed plans for major redevelopment at St Helier, and the potential merger of Epsom with a neighbouring Foundation Trust. This will enable them to achieve their strong vision to be a principle provider of high quality, patient centred care.

Challenging and varied roles for suitably qualified, business focused Accountants to lead a team in delivering sound business and financial advice to Operational Managers and Clinicians, and using financial and other information to make recommendations for improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Directorate.
Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance you will be responsible for a specific Directorate, and
through appropriate leadership and guidance will provide an streamlined management accounting service, ensuring deadlines are met and Trust objectives achieved. Contributing to the development of Cost Improvement Programmes and Income generation schemes will also be a pivotal part of this role.
A passion to succeed and a proven track record in a similar role within the NHS, will by supported by a natural flair to influence and drive through improvements that will help shape the future direction, and success of the Directorate. Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will also possess an ability to inspire confidence and create positive, effective working relationships between the finance function, Clinicians and Budget Holders.
