An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, energetic and motivated nurse to become Matron of Moorfields Eye Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, Observation Bay, Primary Care Clinic and Moorfields Direct Telephone Help Line.

For many patients the Accident and Emergency service at Moorfields is a gateway to accessing the specialist ophthalmic care that they require.

The post holder will be required to work closely with the management team and the A&E service director to ensure the achievement of all targets, indicators and initiatives relevant to the Accident and Emergency service, as well as working with and supporting the team of Ophthalmic Emergency Nurse Practitioners.

Applicants should have a BSc in Nursing or a health related subject or equivalent experience, be a registered nurse with an ophthalmic qualification or experience working at an advanced level of ophthalmic practice and experience at working at a senior level in leading a clinical team. You should also be able to demonstrate good planning, organisational and leadership skills.
