- Contribute to departmental and operational plans that supports the
achievement of short, medium and long-term objectives for the Risk Management Services in order to deliver high quality services within the available resources.
- To lead in the development of the Trust`s Patient Safety and Risk
Management Policies, ensuring that they are patient focused, regularly reviewed and amended in light of clinical changes, legislation or regulatory requirement. Complete annual compliance reports as required.
- Clinically support the development of all aspects of Risk
Management Trust-wide, including Adverse Incident Reporting, risk assessment processes and support of the Medication Incident Review Group.
- Provide expert support and advice to the Clinical Divisions/Directorate
local Risk Groups, ensuring staff Trust-wide follow the principles of the Risk Management Strategy. Participate in Clinical Care Group risk management meetings.
The successful candidate will have several years experience in a senior clinical/management role within the NHS with direct experience of managing clinical risk.
