Director of Nursing & Quality
Providing healthcare services to approximately half a million people living across the Boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley, our trust delivers a full range of acute hospital and community based care across South East London.
We have an opportunity for an exceptional and inspirational nursing leader to join our stable and experienced board and be part of an exciting new chapter of our trust’s future. Through our own internal improvement strategy and the local Sustainability and Transformation Plan (Healthier South East London) and our own internal improvement strategy we will deliver -implement significant change to how we in the delivery of high quality healthcare services and the nursing, midwifery and allied healthcare professional workforce can be the “engine room” for this change.
However, this will require a Director of Nursing and Quality who demonstrates a strong commitment to high standards of care, promotes effective and efficient ward leadership, is seen as inspirational and engaging by staff and has the ambition and leadership qualities to fully contribute to the Trust’s bold plans for transformation and development.
This is a challenging but exciting role which will require high levels of energy, personal resilience and focus. But in return you could be part of an upward journey in which there is permission and support to be innovative in order to overcome our present and future challenges.
You will already be an experienced nursing leader in acute healthcare with a track record of working in demanding settings of appropriate scale and complexity. While this post would suit an existing board-level leader the Trust are open to the possibility of this being an opportunity for a strong deputy to step up into their first executive post should they be able to demonstrate their readiness for such a move.
