A leading NHS organisation is currently seeking a very capable individual to work as part of the wider commissioning team focused on the QIPP scheme for Community and Mental Health Services duration is likely to be 6 months. 

Main Responsibilities: 
  • Working with the Senior Project Manager for Community and Mental Health QIPP scheme on behalf of the commissioning organisation with full cooperation and buy in from designated provider NHS Trusts, taking into consideration needs and priorities, also looking at the decommissioning of some services; 
  • Assist on the roll out of the identified QIPP scheme for Community and Mental Health, delivery of business plans to deliver priorities identified in organisations commissioning strategy;
  • Project manage/support the development of service specifications and implementation plans for the redesign of services and care pathways to support outcomes based commissioning and decommissioning; 
  • Co-ordinate action plans to address concerns in performance; 
  • Lead the review of new and existing services against agreed planned care and QIPP objectives; 
A successful candidate will have:
  • Proactive project management skills, willing to work across the programme and deliver results, working with the providers in partnership; 
  • A strong track record of managing complex projects, with associated data; 
  • Experience of working collaboratively and a good understanding of the current health and social care integration agenda; 
  • A proven track record of service redesign, improvement and delivery within commissioning; 
  • Will have an in depth understanding of Community and Mental Health services;
