Director of Estates and Facilities
Kettering General Hospital (KGH) NHS Foundation Trust is an ambitious provider of acute hospital services to a population of more than 300,000 people living across Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough and North Northamptonshire.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will play an integral role in ensuring the KGH is a high performing, locally focussed and viable organisation. There is a significant, ongoing, capital programme to deliver, which includes major site upgrade and redevelopment.
You will be joining an established, complex and long established Foundation Trust employing more than 3900 staff and enjoy a varied and challenging role. You will need to lead work to improve patient experience through enhancements to the physical estate, improve key facilities and services and ensure strong financial grip. Using your sound professional and technical skills, you will:
- Develop your team’s integrated approach to providing streamlined high quality customer focussed estates and facilities services across KGH, in line with their CARE values; Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful and Engaging.
- Determine the Trust’s estates, facilities and capital development strategies to enable the Organisation’s delivery of its objectives and transformation plan
- Deliver on all statutory compliance requirements including a challenging health and safety agenda
- Contribute to wider strategic and operational decisions by providing sound professional advice directly to the Board on all matters relating to the estate assets and associated support services
You will be an experienced or aspirant director (or equivalent) working in a similar role either within the commercial, wider public service or not-for-profit sectors. NHS experience is not essential. Ideally you will be a qualified Chartered Engineer or Surveyor, or equivalent and offer sound professional leadership and track record of delivering outstanding customer focused services to your organisation. This is a role where your contribution will make a very visible, physical impact for patients, their carers and families.
