Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, North Staffordshire, South East Staffordshire and Seisdon Peninsula, Stafford and Surrounds and Stoke-on-Trent are the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) responsible for commissioning health services for the population of Staffordshire.
Our CCGs have taken the decision to establish a new single Accountable Officer role which supersedes the current arrangements in place throughout Staffordshire. In this role you will provide a strong commissioning voice for Staffordshire, which will allow more effective joint working between our CCGs and support the realisation of the plans laid out in our Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) and the NHS Five Year Forward View (5YFV). The six CCGs are ambitious organisations comprising 150 GP practices that serve around 1.1 million people. This is a key time for our organisations and an opportunity for you to join a group of organisations with high levels of clinical engagement.
Demonstrating proven leadership experience gained at an organisational/ system level, you are likely to have worked, or are working within the NHS or wider settings. You will be able to quickly establish credibility within the CCGs and their partner organisations and enjoy working with clinicians together with a diverse range of wider stakeholders.
Ideally, you will offer a reputable track record of delivering service transformation within the health or wider public service sectors along with the requisite influencing skills, commercial acumen and drive to take on a key system leadership role where your contribution and impact will be very visible. Ultimately, we seek to provide the best quality and value of services to the population we serve and as Accountable Officer you will champion this objective.
