Deputy Director of Commissioning

Morgan Hunt's NHS client are looking to recruit an interim Deputy Director of Commissioning. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Director of Commissioning and will hold day to day responsibilities for providing senior leadership and delivery of commissioning programmes.

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Director of Commissioning:

* Strategic Planning: The post-holder will be responsible for developing and driving the CCG's Commissioning Strategy and its Operating Plan.
* Programme Management: The post-holder will be responsible for a comprehensive programme management function that will oversee the development of clinical pathway (re)design to deliver Operating Plan priorities.
* The post-holder will assume accountability for any initiatives as delegated by the Director of Commissioning that may fit within the Operating Plan of the CCG.
* National/Regional Policy Implementation: The post-holder will be the senior manager responsible for interpreting regional and national policy into a local implementation context.
* The post-holder will be the CCG representative at external meetings where matters of policy are being considered.
* Locality Development: Development of the localities is key to service improvement.

Essential Previous experience of the successful candidate:

* Must have worked recently as a Director within a CCG/CSU with responsibility for Strategic Plans, QIPP and PMO.
* Must be familiar with formulation Strategic and Operational plans
* Proven Board level experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment
* Significant experience of budget and resources management including the delivery of efficiency targets/savings plans
