Senior HR Advisor

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with a leading Private Healthcare organisation based in Central London that requires an experienced Senior HR Advisor for a 12 month assignment commencing in September. £40k - £45k pa + excellent benefits.

Reporting into the Director of HR the Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for the provision of the day to day HR management service and support managers and employees with HR enquires across one hospital site. You will ensure that all HR policies, procedures and standards are applied consistently and equitably, and proactively case manage employee relations activities. In addition you will be responsible for providing expert professional advice and guidance on all human resources issues. 

Key responsibilities;
  • To provide day to day management of the HR service for the hospital, including advice and guidance to the HR Assistant;
  • Lead on the provision of HR specific training to the management team;
  • Ensure mandatory training targets are achieved;
  • To be competent and effective in the provision of a professional HR advisory service;
  • Ensure that sickness absence is monitored and managed in accordance with organisational policy and procedures;
  • Meet with/liaise with managers on a regular basis to review sickness data, starters and leavers, and manage performance of staff through Departmental Reviews;
  • Lead on Local Induction, and provide guidance on the completion of Mandatory Training, following up on non-compliance;
  • Continually review local processes and procedures with a view to service enhancement and improvement.
Key skills and experience;
  • Graduate level education (or equivalent);
  • Fully CIPD qualified or working towards;
  • Case management experience of sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance including experience of hearing grievance and disciplinary cases;
  • HR Project Management;
  • Coaching experience;
  • Performance Management and improvement experience;
  • Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures;
  • Computer literate;
  • Experience of working in an HR Advisory position within a fast paced environment.
