Owing to substantial contractual growth and resulting in large income and headcount increases this NHS organisation in the South East requires an experienced, Interim Senior Contracts Manager to develop the strategic direction and support/ advise managers through building and strengthening approaches for Contracting in order to improve services and outcomes.  The role will develop partnership working and elevate contract performance management processes in relation to services delivered by the organisation.

As part of the senior management team the role will:
- Ensure all contracting activity supports the development of new models of service.
- Develop innovative contracting approaches to achieve positive outcomes for users of services.
- Support and/ or lead complex contractual negotiations with a range of external providers.
- Develop service specifications in liaison with Associate Directors and clinical managers.
- Advise colleagues on best practice in relation to contracting services in their area of responsibility.
- Liaise with finance representatives and other stakeholders to discuss detailed contractual issues.
- Draw up and agree contracts for goods and services in liaison with service managers.
- Represent the organisation in relation to contracts issues and performance management matters as        required.
- Provide advice to managers regarding suppliers, establishing and monitoring KPIs, interpreting  performance data, and managing remedial action where required.
- Participate and contribute to the organisations savings targets from ideas to implementation.
