Owing to substantial contractual growth and resulting in large income and headcount increases this NHS organisation in the South East requires an experienced, Interim Procurement Manager to provide strategic advice to the Executive and Senior Management Teams and be responsible for the development and management of all procurement activities related to the organisations supply chain.

The role will:

-       Deliver and maintain on-going development of clear and cohesive strategies for Procurement activities ensuring services deliver on agreed quality, performance and service development targets.

-       Develop, implement, maintain and review procurement processes across the organisation, ensuring that contracts and ad-hoc purchasing arrangements are established to achieve best value for money in line with best business practice.

-       Develop and maintain policies and systems in accordance with sound management and good purchasing practice.

-       Manage the supplier base, the relationship with key suppliers and information collation, thereby ensuring that adequate supplier appraisal and vendor approval systems are in place to guarantee only purchases from sound sources.

-       Carry out price monitoring/benchmarking of contracts for goods and services to ensure the company is achieving price/purchasing advantage.

-       Collaborate with other NHS providers and government agencies in identifying and establishing joint procurement initiatives that will deliver enhanced value for money.

-       Support the Business Development team in undertaking regular contract performance reviews to ensure compliance with contract terms, identifying where suppliers are failing to meet their obligations and develop, implement and monitor supplier improvement plans to ensure best value delivery.

-       Lead supplier/stakeholder service reviews addressing stakeholder satisfaction, commercial development and improvement alongside continuous supplier improvement issues.
