Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated Foundation Trust responsible for providing acute, community inpatient and children’s health services for the people of Bradford and surrounding areas. We are one of only 2 teaching hospitals in West Yorkshire, have 900 beds and employ approximately 5500 staff.

Due to the retirement of a key member of the Board of Directors who held a combined portfolio we have reviewed our Board level structure and are now looking for an exceptional Director of Governance and Corporate Affairs to take lead responsibility for the continued development and implementation of our strategy and procedures for sound integrated governance and risk management in the Trust. You will report to the Chief Executive and act as expert advisor to the Board of Directors on all issues relating to governance and risk.

The successful candidate will have had significant senior management experience in a large, complex NHS setting with exposure to the Board. You will have had experience of managing governance functions and of engaging and working with senior external stakeholders and be an expert in the areas of health and social care compliance, risk, regulation and national NHS policy.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join a well-established senior team and ensure that we continue to have effective systems of integrated governance in place in the Trust.

Informal discussions with regard to the post are welcomed. Please contact Samantha King, Executive Assistant to the Director of HR on 01274 364844 in the first instance.
