The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is the only specialist NHS hospital trust in the UK dedicated to providing comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services. The Trust employs approximately 1,250 staff, and has an annual turnover of around £120 million.
These are challenging times for all NHS providers, with operational, financial, and workforce pressures reaching unprecedented levels. However, such challenges also offer an exciting opportunity. Our current Chief Executive is stepping down in February 2018 after almost four years in post, and we are looking for a successor with the vision, ambition, energy, and capability to maintain and build on the Trust’s unique strengths and successes. In addition, the Trust is leading the Vanguard in Cheshire and Merseyside and developing neurology and spinal services across the region.
Over the last year The Walton Centre was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, was reaccredited with the Investors In People Gold Standard, and completed an £8 million project to build two new theatres and aquire an intra-operative MRI scanner.
Whether you are an established or aspiring Chief Executive, you will have significant board-level healthcare experience, and a strong sector reputation to lead The Walton Centre to clinical excellence, and clinical and financial sustainability.
You will believe passionately in quality; in providing visible and supportive leadership; and engaging credibly with all our staff, a wide range of external stakeholders, as well as our patients. You will also demonstrate the values of our Walton Way in everything you do: Dignity, Respect, Pride, Openness, and Caring.
If you relish a challenge and feel you have the professional and personal qualities to excel as our new Chief Executive, please visit NHS Jobs (Ref. 160-215100).
