Finegreen have an excellent job opportunity for a Head of Quality and Compliance within the private sector. My client specialises in delivering out-of-hospital care and providing a range of innovative services to the UK healthcare sector.

The company promotes health and wellbeing services by driving innovation and providing a range of responsive and preventative healthcare services in community settings, GP surgeries, prisons, workplaces and patients’ homes, from pre-diagnosis to discharge.  These out of hospital services include physiotherapy, podiatry, dermatology, Referral Management Services and Clinical Health Coaching.

My client operates numerous contracts with the NHS as well as other public and private sector organisations across England.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Quality & Compliance, you will proactively ensure company compliance with International Standards, bringing together and prioritising work on initiatives including ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001, NHS IGToolkit, Data Protection, Records Management, GDPR and Freedom of Information in a consistent way. To be the prime contact for the Groups Information Governance & Quality Assurance Issues.

You will advise and support the Senior Group Management team, Heads of Department and Service Managers in their understanding of Information governance, Quality Assurance and how it applies to their roles within the organisation.

Provide governance leadership and serve as key liaison between system suppliers, users, managers, IT Department, other stakeholders in defining and delivering their information governance & quality infrastructure requirements.

Responsible for implementation and management of the following initiatives:
  • Registers of Legislation / Environmental / Data Protection / Medico Legal and Clinical etc.
  • Implementation of new legislation
  • Horizon scanning of proposed regulation
  • Caldicott Standards guardian
  • Data/Information Quality Assurance
  • ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, NHS IGToolkit
  • Employee awareness of company policies, procedures, quality and compliance
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate operational, strategic and reputational risk
  • Internal / external audits / insurance assessor visits etc.
  • The company risk register(s)
  • Non-conformance responses and preventative actions
  • Effective investigation and reporting of incidents 
  • GRDP legislation and its implementation within business  
  • GDPR Controls Assurance (Records Management and IM&T)
As Head of Quality & Compliance, you will be a highly organised, proactive individual with excellent planning and prioritising ability. Commercially aware, you will assimilate and present information clearly and build strong relationships based on trust and credibility with the group. You will have a relevant qualification in Quality Management or similar technical discipline and a background within Health Care would be preferable. 

The successful candidate;
  • ISO 27001, 9001, 14001 working methodologies;
  • Drafting / implementation / managing Business Management Systems;
  • Information Security / Quality / Environment (inc Health & Safety responsibilities);
  • Drafting policies and procedures;
  • Leading and developing a team;
  • Incidents investigation and resolution.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, committed approach to duties and the ability to prioritise work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. You must have excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing and presentation with the ability to work well under pressure and to understand, analyse and present data.
