As a newly formed group, we are seeking to identify a senior HR professional to join the Group Workforce and OD Leadership team to deliver the Group Workforce strategic aims, working alongside the Hospital HR & OD Directors to form an integrated approach – where collaboration is at the forefront of all you do.
This role is one of three senior Workforce and OD positions working at Group level and reporting to the Group Executive Director of Workforce and OD with whom you will work to develop a compelling vision and narrative for our Group People Strategy. The post holder will work very closely with the Group Executive Director of Workforce and OD to ensure robust workforce governance is in place and to develop standards of workforce quality and effectiveness based on the latest research and best practice standards.
As the Group lead for Industrial Relations and policy development you will have significant experience of working in a highly unionised environment with the ability to navigate challenging issues whilst maintaining partnership relations. You will also have considerable experience of complex employee relations cases to provide additional support and guidance to Hospital HRDs when required.
Meanwhile working in unison with the Hospital HR & OD Directors, you’ll ensure that the Group workforce and OD strategy is aligned to the needs of the Groups six hospitals and that there is synergy across the group.
Enjoying the supportive network that has come with our merger, you will work collaboratively with the other HRDs in the group with the opportunity to readily tap into their wide HR & OD knowledge and experience, providing you with a readymade Workforce and OD network. This highly desirable role is perfectly suited to a pioneering, dynamic self-starter with a wealth of HR expertise gained in a senior role within a complex organisation. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is desirable but not essential if the suitable equivalent experience can be clearly demonstrated; however, the ability to quickly build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and influence outcomes is a key capability along with your exceptional leadership skills.
