Joint Chief Executive
Both Trusts have agreed a new joint Strategic Intent to work towards the creation of an integrated Foundation Trust providing seamless physical, mental health and learning disabilities services. Having carefully considered our respective strategic priorities we have jointly concluded that there is significant strategic alignment, to the extent that a “blended offer” through a single organisation would best support both of our future ambitions and accelerate local Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) plans.
We have jointly set out the proposed principles and process which will support the coming together of our two successful organisations. In this endeavour, we are determined that the process maintains our focus on in-year performance and delivery as well as ensuring appropriate and effective governance and leadership in both Trusts.
We have agreed and committed to a timeline which we are confident will support our shared ambitions, provide clarity of leadership, and ensure stability of delivery within both organisations. Towards this end, we are now seeking to recruit an exceptional Joint CEO for both organisations.
You are likely to be a current NHS CEO or have equivalent experience, and be able to demonstrate an extensive track record of providing strong and creative strategic leadership. Ideally coming from a senior leadership role within physical and mental health and learning disability services, you will understand the key issues and challenges facing NHS organisations. With well-honed political skills you will have the ability to work collaboratively inside and outside both organisations and in partnership with other agencies.
To deliver business as usual alongside our ambitious integration project, this joint role will require a highly skilled, resilient and experienced CEO or senior leader.
