Finegreen are recruiting on behalf of a private independent living/care home operator for a Head of Marketing. The role is homebased, however you will be expected to work in the Head Office in the West Midlands one day per week and the rest of the week will be spent in various site locations.

This role is responsible for designing and delivering a commercially astute and customer centric Marketing Strategy that is innovative, flexible and in line with our brand image, across all sites. To work closely with the Head of Sales and the site Managers to ensure the business has the appropriate national and local marketing strategies to achieve their sales targets.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales and the Senior Operations team, to ensure all new builds have the tools they require to deliver a ‘sale ready’ plan at the earliest possible stage and support on-going promotional activities. The ideal candidate will be well informed about competitors and the marketplace, to ensure they are able to implement new and innovative marketing tactics. The role involves three direct reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To manage and distinct the Client’s brand with independent budgets (circa £650K);
  • To be accountable for designing and implementing the marketing strategy for the Client both nationally and locally;
  • To create both complex and simple marketing campaigns to support existing sites and the launch of new builds, having design and authority over campaign decisions;
  • Supporting the Site Managers in delivering their local marketing campaign, providing them with appropriate material and guides;
  • To execute and manage all marketing campaigns and communications; digital, TV, radio, press, direct mail, sponsorship, events, partnerships etc. as appropriate driving lead generation, retention and engagement;
  • To have overall accountability for the brand;
  • To line manage the internal Graphic Design Team;
  • To test level of public interest in new locations or services;
  • To maintain a list of advertising contacts and negotiate rates;
  • To monitor the effectiveness of each marketing campaign in order to inform future decisions;
  • To ensure the company website is maintained;

The successful candidate:

  • Leadership skills working with and developing a team of professionals;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with good time management and organisation skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Proven track record in delivering significant sales figures;
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, able to manage complex and a high level of data and information and deliver operationally;
  • Motivational leadership.

Desirable
  • Understanding of UK health and social care systems and regulatory framework and able to
  • effectively influence external stakeholders including sector regulators;
  • Knowledge of Health & Social Care legislation in UK;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

This will be a permanent post, offering a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum, plus car allowance and bonus.
