Associate Director of Risk and Governance
Morgan Hunt's NHS client is looking to recruit an Associate Director of Risk and Governance on an interim basis for 3-5 months.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for both corporate and clinical governance.
Key responsibilities will include:
Developing, implementing and sustaining the Trust's Integrated Governance, Assurance and Safety arrangements assuring that these meet the highest standards of governance and probity;
Take responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies and policies for patient and staff quality, safety and risk innovations and improvements and ensure they take responsibility for the implementation and ensuring effective policy compliance.
Responsible for service development and continual improvements of discreet service areas within the remit of this post
Develop robust and comprehensive quality assurance systems and processes via clinical governance framework and reporting and monitoring processes.
Ensuring that expenditure and income is within budget and ensuring compliance with financial protocols;
Providing robust, effective and insightful reporting from the divisions, though leadership and communication;
Prioritising the activities of the governance support team and helping divisions to prioritise in their wider governance arrangements;
Managing risk and reviewing serious incidents;
Ensuring controls and mitigation to reduce risk are introduced when risks are identified and introducing such controls;
Facilitating a root cause analysis and using such skills in diagnosing the contributory causes of events and incidents;
Ensuring the delivery of training across the organisation on governance, assurance and risk;
Working closely with the organisational development and learning teams on the development of new courses and training initiatives related to governance;
Contributing to the development of tools and improvement practices, to minimise recurrence of incidents.
There will be specific focus on supporting the Trust through CQC Compliance
The ideal candidate will have:
Recent senior level experience within the NHS or similar organisation;
Clinical and Corporate Governance expert
The ability to organise own workload, perform under pressure and meet short deadlines.
