Interim Director of Joint Commissioning
Morgan Law are working with an NHS Organisation in the South East who are looking to recruit an interim Director of Joint Commissioning.
The commissioning portfolio includes mental health, learning disabilities, children’s services, carers and the voluntary sector and personal health budgets.
You will manage this portfolio and ensure effective delivery of the CCGs relevant strategies and commissioning plans, including with the local authorities.
Other responsibilities include:
- Developing opportunities for joint commissioning and pooled budgets with the three Unitary Authorities including the Better Care Fund and service integration programmes.
- Leading Continuing Health Care, holding the budget and ensuring the four CCGs fulfil their statutory requirements in this regard and have oversight of the CHC team
- Ensuring the CCGs’ commissioning strategies and plans are developed and informed by joint work with the public, patients, member practices and communities.
- Leading the commissioning of services from the voluntary sector, managing the budget for these services (currently Partnership Development Funds) and examining opportunities to pool budgets with unitary authorities and streamline the commissioning process.
