We are recruiting Associate Director roles for mental health and CAMHS

(Agenda for Change Band 8c/ full-time permanent/4 positions)

Devolution is bringing the biggest ever reform of health and social care across Greater Manchester. As a Mental Health and Community Foundation Trust, Pennine Care is uniquely placed to help shape these plans. Our vision is to deliver the best care to patients, people and families in our local communities by working effectively with partners to help people to live well.

With a key role in the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care partnership, we are moving at pace to develop integrated health and social care services for our population. We have a workforce of 5,500 dedicated staff and provide mental health care over half a million times each year to a population of 1.3 million.

The role

These are exciting times to work in Manchester. As an Associate Director within Pennine Care you would play an integral role in the implementation of the Trust’s mental health strategy and be at forefront of transforming and modernising our mental health services in a specified locality.

Associate Directors are responsible for leading and delivering integrated services in partnership, which are clinically led and academically informed. You will lead services in the planning and implementation of service developments in mental health working within the context of the Trust’s five year strategy and the relevant borough’s locality plan. You will also take a lead role in engaging with the New Models of Care agenda and organisations in the locality (Local Care Organisations). One of the posts will be responsible for our Trust-wide CAMHS services while the remaining three posts will be responsible for all other locality based mental health and specialist services.

Why Pennine Care?

  • Our newly appointed Chief Executive and Chair of our Trust Board have a commitment to ensuring that we provide positive experiences for the people who use our services based on quality outcomes and safe support.
  • As an organisation we will commit to supporting you with your professional development and career progression.
  • We are playing a key role in the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership and there will be opportunities for your involvement in key city wide work streams.
  • We can offer great benefits, including flexible working, childcare vouchers and the NHS pension scheme and holiday allowance.
  • Our services are provided in 6 of the 10 Greater Manchester boroughs. Our city scores higher than any other UK City as a great place to live (Global Liveability Survey 2016) offering an outstanding, yet affordable quality of life. Where else does vibrant nightlife and diverse culture meet the peace and tranquillity of the rolling Pennines?

A bit about you

  • You will have a clinical background with experience of a senior leadership role within all age mental health and/or learning disability services.
  • Your experience could be from either health, social care, voluntary or the private sector.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a record of successfully managing complex organisation wide change.
  • You will have a positive value base that supports the empowerment of vulnerable people.
  • And your enthusiasm, passion and energy will enable you to positively lead and motivate our workforce to co-produce with key stakeholders the service developments required to further develop our services.
