ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) is making a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives, providing support so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.

ELFT has been named one of the HSJ Top 10 best places to work in healthcare, HSJ Provider Trust of the Year 2016 and graded as Outstanding by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2016. We believe that staff who feel valued by the Trust and are truly engaged in the organisation deliver better outcomes for our patients.

We have embarked on an ambitious Quality Improvement Programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers and families at the heart of our efforts to improve. We are currently revising the Trust’s vision and mission, in order to focus on providing the highest quality of care, and improving the health and wellbeing of the communities that we serve.

We are seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Governance to join our team.  Responsible for a broad portfolio including corporate governance, secretariat, board assurance and legal services, your team will also support the Governors, Members as well as the Chief Executive and Chairs office. You will keep under view policy, legislative, regulatory and governance developments and facilitate the functioning of the Trusts corporate business processes, ensuring that governance arrangements are ‘fit for purpose’. You will also contribute to the work of the Board in developing organisational strategy in accordance with Trust’s key visions, values and objectives.

With a track record of working with NHS boards the successful candidate will join us as a key member of our leadership team at a crucial time in our development. We’re looking for someone who is thorough yet adaptable, committed to high standards and an active team player, politically astute and able to communicate at all levels, but most importantly you share our values to make a positive difference to peoples lives.
