There are four Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) that commission healthcare services for the Greater Nottingham population; NHS Nottingham City, NHS Nottingham North and East, NHS Nottingham West and NHS Rushcliffe CCGs.

The CCGs are clinically-led organisations that work collaboratively to improve health and reduce health inequalities across Greater Nottingham. In order to respond to the requirements of the NHS Five Year Forward View, the four CCGs are establishing a Greater Nottingham Joint Commissioning Committee.

We are looking to appoint an Independent Chair of the Joint Commissioning Committee who will inspire public confidence, promote good governance, and have the right drive, background and expertise to help us shape and develop health and care services for the citizens of Greater Nottingham.

You will bring a strategic insight and impartiality to the Joint Commissioning Committee, acting as an ambassador for the CCGs in a range of contexts, whilst commanding the respect of clinicians and managers within the CCG.

If you’ve gained senior or Board level experience in the private, public or voluntary sectors, we would be delighted to hear from you. You will need to demonstrate a range of leadership attributes and competencies, as set out within the role specification.

The appointment will be for a period of up to three years, with a time commitment of two and a half days per month, as a minimum. This may include some evening engagements. Remuneration will be negotiable depending on personal circumstances.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Samantha Walters, Accountable Officer, on 0115 883 1718 prior to the closing date for applications. This will play no part in the selection process.

Closing date 15 January 2018.

We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all, with appointments being made on merit.
