Finegreen are recruiting on behalf of an independent healthcare provider. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Scrub Lead  to join their Theatres Department within a private hospital based in the South East.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operational management and activity of the Operating Theatres and Decontamination Service. This role is equivalent of NHS banding 8b. The hospital has been rated as outstanding by the CQC and they are now looking for a dynamic, established senior clinical leader to manage their Theatre team.

This role is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week and you will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. 

Key Responsibilities:
· To provide clinical, professional and visible management of an identified team of practitioners within the department to deliver high quality patient centred care against theatre activity and development plans;
 
· Responsible for the safe day to day running of the team to deliver scheduled activity and efficiencies, collaborating closely with fellow Clinical Leads, providing cross cover and deputising for the Theatre Manager as required;
 
· Responsible for delivering excellent governance, ensuring team members are legally compliant and adhering to all regulatory Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and clinical standards;
 
· To provide specialist Scrub knowledge and support to the Theatre Manager and Matron/Clinical Operations Manager, including support for planning activity and improvements to pre-operative care;
 
· To undertake the Coordinator role within Theatres;
 
· To ensure service provision is delivered in line with cost efficiency adhering to budgetary controls, planned activity and regulatory compliance;
 
· To ensure all patient areas and Theatre environment is safe, fit for purpose and effectively maintained;
 
· To act as a role model for staff and patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience for all;
 
· To maintain own clinical competency;
 
 
This role reports into the Theatre Manager and the post holder will provide professional and technical leadership, clinical advice and support for the scrub team. 
 

The successful candidate:
· 3+ years as an experienced Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner;
· Demonstrating considerable leadership experience;
· Thorough understanding of clinical standards (e.g. AFPP standards) and regulatory (CQC) frameworks, audits, policies and procedures;
· Significant experience in Scrub;
· Demonstrate ability to lead and develop a team;
· RGN/ODP Qualification;
· ILS and ENB 998 Qualification.
