Temporary Staffing Manager

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS Trust based in the East of England that requires and experienced Temporary Staffing Manager for a three month assignment commencing immediately.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Manage day to day operations;
  • Leading and developing a small Team;
  • Ensure compliance with NHS I agency cap / weekly reporting/ procurement of agency staff;
  • Improving systems and processes relating to Temporary staffing – Developing Standard Operating procedures;
  • Leading on the development of the internal Bank system, driving down agency usage and delivering savings for the Trust;
  • Improving processes/ streamlining recruitment of Bank and Agency staff across the organisation;
  • Work closely with E-rostering team to ensure that effective processes are in place for managing staffing requirements;
  • Customer focused / Support with Investigations;
  • Use of bespoke computerised systems such as Health Roster, Allocate, ESR;
  • Robust experience of using MS Office products, specifically Excel;
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to provide written/verbal updates to senior colleagues;
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of service improvement;
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritise and plan own workload and that of others.

Key experience and skills required;

  • Previous experience of leading a recruitment or temporary staffing function within an NHS provider organisation;
  • Understanding of current NHSI guidelines around the procurement of agency staff;
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment;
  • Previous use of bespoke computerised systems such as Allocate, SAGE, ESR;
  • Understanding of NHS Terms and Conditions;
  • Robust experience of using MS Office products, specifically Excel;
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to provide verbal updates to senior colleagues;
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of service improvement;
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritise and plan own workload and that of others.
