You will be a CCAB qualified individual responsible for monitoring the Capital Programme (currently valued at circa £250m) in line with the priorities and business cases scrutinised by the NHS Infrastructure Investment Board and approved by the Minister for Health and Social Services.
Reporting to the Director of Finance on all Capital, Estates and Facility issues relating to the NHS, you will lead a small team and work closely with senior NHS officials on the prioritisation and monitoring of service plans and capital schemes; managing all scrutiny and approval processes for any resources required and to provide appropriate advice to the Director of Finance, Director General and the Minister on the most effective use of resources to deliver NHS service and Ministerial objectives within allocated capital resource limits.

The post is available for two years and is offered to permanent Civil Service employees on a lateral basis, externally on a fixed term basis or on secondment where you would retain your existing terms and conditions of service including salary.
This is full-time role however, we welcome applications from people who wish to work on a job share basis.
The post holder may work from any of the Welsh Government Offices in Wales. However, weekly travel to Cardiff will be essential to liaise with Ministers and senior officials.
