East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) is a high-performing, financially secure and internationally respected organisation and we are ambitious for more. As a trust we are defined by our clinical leadership, our focus on quality, our leading-edge research - including our World Health Organisation collaboration centre - and by our desire to learn from the best, to be transparent and to improve when things go wrong.

We believe our future success will be built upon a continued focus on:

  • our service users, whom we value as equal partners;
  • our staff, whom we empower and develop at every level and in every discipline;
  • our partners, with whom we actively participate on initiatives to improve the health of local people in London, Luton and Bedfordshire and reduce health inequalities; and
  • quality, as can be evidenced from our trust-wide Quality Improvement Programme.

We seek an exceptional Chief Nurse to join our driven, stable and cohesive executive team. Providing influential clinical leadership, you will inspire our clinicians, staff and partners to build on our reputation of delivering the highest quality mental health and community care in a complex and increasingly integrated health economy. Your excellent leadership and interpersonal skills will be complemented by a strategic mindset, a commitment to the quality agenda and experience of delivering continuous quality improvement. You will have a track record of empowering and motivating staff and multidisciplinary teams and working across organisational boundaries to deliver high quality and user-centred care and partnership working. Importantly, too, you will have a passion for ensuring meaningful involvement of service users and carers in the planning, development and monitoring of services.
