Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the biggest and busiest acute NHS trusts in the North West region, with an income of approximately £335 million and more than 6000 employees. We are the largest employer in Wirral and provide a full range of acute healthcare services across the Wirral peninsula.
We are focused on providing exceptional patient and family centred care to the communities we serve. We deliver this through pathways of care which are enabled by innovation and leading-edge technology. Central to our strategic development is the transformation and integration of services locally and we have also made some good progress in developing closer collaborative working relationships within the broader Cheshire & Merseyside Health & Care Partnership.
Following a significant change in organisational leadership in the Trust, we are building a refreshed and strong Board and seeking a values-driven Medical Director who can engage and empower our dedicated medical teams in driving and delivering change. This is a pivotal time for the Trust. We face significant operational and financial challenges; however, we are an organisation with significant potential. Our new Medical Director will play a critical role in creating a positive and supportive culture that promotes leadership and accountability at all levels.
A visible leader, you will bring a strong and recent track record of professional leadership at or near Board level in an acute setting and will have the gravitas to inspire at all levels. With an open, approachable and transparent style, you will be experienced in working collaboratively with partners internally and externally to develop integrated solutions that meet changing population needs. Comfortable in working in a dynamic and evolving environment and leadership team, most of all you will share our passion for providing high quality care to our patients and creating a supportive environment for our workforce.
Closing date: 29th June 2018; Final Panel: w/c 30th July 2018.
