Finegreen are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of integrated healthcare services. This is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Governance and Excellence Manager to join their growing Clinical Standards team underpinning the delivery of the Speciality Healthcare Services division.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse and an experienced clinician; inspiring, managing and leading on development of excellent multi-speciality patient services. You will be driven by a passion and determination for the delivery of high quality person centred care, and will be motivated by raising the bar through enabling clinical governance systems.

The post holder will be mainly based in the Support Centre offices based in Coventry with occasional travel to Essex and Central London. You will support the growth and intellectual thinking across the Speciality Healthcare Centre Services, as part of the newly formed Speciality division focused on creating new models of care closer to home, creating more positive lives.

Across these services, patients in the community setting will receive specialist nurse or pharmacist led care bringing together skillsets across multiple professionals. You will work closely with the Nursing operational leads within the Clinical Homecare services helping shape specialist nurse led services but also lead on exploring general nurse led services evaluating quality of service delivery and enabling continuous quality improvement. You will be a thought leader shaping and informing the design of new services with a strong focus on patient safety and experience.

The role involves collaborating across multiple teams ensuring perspectives of holistic and total patient care is understood and present in our patient and care pathways. You will design and maintain a system of clinical governance of which service delivery will exist to accommodate multiple specialist services delivery including near patient testing. You will create and maintain the formation of a clinical governance framework using your nursing and operational experience that would be on par with NHS expectations, as a minimum, to offer confidence and credibility for patients registered.

The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of patient and NHS clinician expectations within the management of specialist morbidities (e.g. oncology, haematology, rheumatoid arthritis, respiratory) and safe and effective care planning for this patient group. You will be familiar with the administration of specialist therapies (biologics, biosimilars, immunotherapy) requiring specialist diagnosis, administration, management and follow up support. You will have a strong grasp of NHS patient and care pathways and how services are delivered to add credibility when building and maintaining relationships with the NHS.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse at level 1 (RN) with active NMC registration and specialist clinical practical experience of at least five years; 
  • You will have worked within a specialist clinical area, ideally with cancer patients in the NHS Acute sector;
  • Experience in managing quality, risk management and clinical governance requirements for a patient service; 
  • Work independently and with others as a team member driving initiatives to delivery taking personal accountability at a senior level;
  • Inspired by working to the high standards of professional and technical skills at all times acting as a role model and ambassador for the nursing profession; 
  • Work to a high level of clinical knowledge and passion to drive excellence in professional practice exceeding regulatory standards; 
  • Communicate to a high standard and constructively develop our clinical capability in a safe and measured way; 
  • Working accurately with high levels of accountability is key whilst working closely with the management team to support the broader strategic direction of travel; 
  • You will be able to demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic patient centric attitude in your day to day contribution but be comfortable that this role offers no direct patient contact.
