Director of Finance
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country’s newest acute Trusts, formed in April 2017 through the merger of Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Hinchingbrooke Healthcare NHS Trust. From our three main hospital sites our 6,000 staff serve a diverse and growing population of 700,000 people across Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and the neighbouring counties.
Much has already been achieved a year into our merger, laying the foundations for a new era of healthcare delivery in our region and are progressing well with the integration and shaping the identity and future success of this new Trust. The appointment of our current Director of Finance to Chief Executive from 1 October presents a rare opportunity for an ambitious leader to step on to our Board as the Trust evolves and grows, enabling our patients to receive the right care, first time, every time.
- Responsible for all aspects of financial strategy and financial governance in the Trust, acting as the Board’s lead financial advisor and supporting our vision of ‘Working Together to be the best at delivering outstanding care for local communities’;
- Accountable to the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors for the overall financial performance of the Trust, for its relationship with financial partners, for ensuring that it meets all its financial duties, and for its procurement and contracting functions;
- Responsible for wider corporate functions, including leading the development of and delivery of: the Trust’s IT and Information Services Strategy; the Trust’s Procurement Plans; and the Trust’s Annual and Strategic Plans.
We are seeking a qualified finance professional with exceptional leadership qualities and who has already demonstrated a track record of finance leadership and supporting major change agendas in an environment of comparable complexity. Whether you are currently working in the health sector or beyond, you must possess strong financial and commercial acumen, a commitment to collaborative working and a passion for achieving excellence in care quality and service standards.
