NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG, NHS South Cheshire CCG, NHS Vale Royal CCG and NHS West Cheshire CCG are establishing a single executive management team that will work on behalf of all four CCGs in leading the development of two place-based systems of care (integrated care partnerships) and an overarching strategic commissioner. The four CCGs aim to become a single Cheshire CCG from 1st April 2020.

This is an attractive and exciting time to join this new leadership team, which will also be the team that will lead the single Cheshire CCG from 1st April 2020, if approved. You will enjoy the opportunity to help develop a whole system approach to improving patient centered care solutions that will help to eradicate health inequality, whilst designing leading edge, sustainable integrated health and social care services across the system.

As a pivotal member of the new executive team, you will:

  • develop and lead the integrated finance and contract teams
  • provide the executive management team and CCG Governing Bodies with timely, accurate financial information that supports strategic investment decision making processes whilst ensuring long-term financial sustainability
  • drive all aspects of the financial strategy and planning for the CCGs to design and implement effective strategic investments that deliver sustainable transformation.

You will have previously operated at board level, educated to master’s level in a relevant subject (Qualified accountant with professional registration) or have equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level with significant leadership experience in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry, and offer the essential skills and proven experience to work at executive board level.

Recognised as a confident and dynamic leader with the gravitas to lead strategically, you will be able to quickly build sustainable, trusted and meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in a culture that encourages willingness to explore new ideas and innovation. You will need to be able to demonstrate proven influencing skills, drive, enthusiasm, resilience and possess strategic foresight to be successful in this role.

Whether from a commissioning, providing or system transformation role previously, if you would like to progress your career in a more challenging role where your contribution is more widely visible, then your application will be welcomed

Please note there will be a selection process for shortlisted applicants, with interviews scheduled to take place on 26th April 2019. Applicants are advised to only apply if they are available to attend on this date.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to complete online psychometric and reasoning assessments ahead of interviews.

For a discussion regarding this role, please contact Sally Thorpe, Executive Assistant, (on number provided or sally.thorpe3@nhs.net.), and she will arrange this with Clare Watson, Accountable Officer.
