This role will involve working alongside Delivery and Workstream Leads across engagements to help ensure the quality and impact of our Cath Labs and/or Endoscopy productivity programmes.

Key skills & Experience:

Cath Lab:

  • Experience of managing a Cath Labs and having implemented/led a successful improvement programme to improve productivity
  • Expert understanding of driving non-pay cost improvement in Cath labs 
  • Ability to determine optimum method for managing the non-elective pathway when there is an impact on the elective pathway  
  • Familiar with staffing requirements and staffing skill level for Cath labs
  • Ability to build strong relationships with and influence clinical and booking teams to drive operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrable understanding of patient flow through a Cath lab from admission to discharge
  • Experience of reducing reliance on outsourced and WLI activity through improved productivity in funded sessions
  • Experience of 6-4-2 planning principles specific to Cath Labs

Endoscopy:

  • Experience of managing a large endoscopy unit and having implemented/led a successful improvement programme to improve productivity
  • Expert understanding of endoscopy booking systems, list scheduling in relation to JAG standards
  • Familiar with staffing requirements and staffing skill level for endoscopy (including General Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and nurse endoscopists)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with and influence clinical and booking teams to drive operational efficiencies
  • Ability to influence clinical teams in particular specialties which are not directly managed in the endoscopy service
  • Demonstrable understanding of patient flow through an endoscopy service from admission to discharge
  • Experience of reducing reliance on outsourced and WLI activity through improved productivity in funded sessions
  • Experience of 6-4-2 planning principles specific to endoscopy
