We are supporting an NHS Healthcare organisation in the North West as they seek to appoint a Project Manager on an interim basis to support across a number of key projects including Outpatients, Theatres and Length of Stay.

This role is a priority for the organisation and they are prepared to appoint at pace.

The role will be for 3 months in the first instance and will be under the NHSI Agency caps/CCS NMNC Framework at Band 8a/Band 8b.

Main Responsibilities:
To support the delivery of a number of high profile projects within the Transformation and PMO Team

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Project management qualification (i.e. PRINCE2 Practitioner) or relevant experience
  • NHS healthcare experience, preferably within Operational Management with a strong understanding of Medicine or Surgery services
  • Practical experience of strategic planning, project management and management of complex organisational change across multiple sites and providers
  • Understanding and knowledge of how to scope, define and plan a project and how to deliver a project with clear deliverables and outcomes
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project performance management processes and their role in the delivery of large change projects
  • Knowledge of programme and project management discipline and best practice, and the role of a project manager
