Develop today’s nurses for tomorrow’s patients at Manchester University Foundation Trust

Director of Nursing - Royal Manchester’s Children’s Hospital

Taking care of the children of Manchester, Trafford and beyond isn’t just a responsibility, it’s our privilege. The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is a very special hospital and we are rightly proud of its rich heritage that dates back to the 1800’s. As one of the largest children’s hospitals in Europe and one of 9 hospitals in the new Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking to transform the face of children’s nursing and need an exceptional nurse leader to lead our amazing children’s nurses. Why not see for yourself what we’re about by watching the series ‘Kids Hospital: – Your child in their hands’ on our children’s hospital to get a feel for the world class services provided by the teams in RMCH.  Click on this link to view a clip from it - http://www.channel5.com/show/your-child-in-their-hands

This new and exciting role of Director of Nursing really will complement the experience and seniority of the new leadership team for RMCH and this could be your next chance to shine in your career and make a real difference for our young patients.

Based in the dynamic city of Manchester and enjoying the solid work/life balance that comes with such a location, you’ll be a registered Children’s Nurse with a Masters level qualification and hold considerable senior experience in children’s nursing. Ideally, you’ll be an existing Director of Nursing or Deputy Director in a children’s setting or hold experience in the field.

With experience of managing large-scale change and developing clinical teams in an acute Trust, you’ll offer experience of supporting an integrated health and social care model; workforce planning and service modelling in addition to securing funding to support organisational initiatives. It goes without saying that outstanding communication and negotiation skills will ensure that you can successfully implement your measures to the highest level, whilst being recognised as the inspirational leader that will enable us to exceed our patients and their families’ expectations.

We want our team to build services for our children – our future – so, to find out more about this thriving hospital and this unique opportunity along with how to apply, please visit the Veredus website www.veredus.co.uk using reference 930534.
