Attain’s Norma Christison on her first 30 days at Attain

Norma Christison

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am an ex-NHS nurse with almost 20 years’ service redesign and transformation management experience, most recently in one of the national Vanguard programmes (in South Hampshire).  I get a real sense of achievement when I see services improving for NHS users and really pleased to play my small part in it.

Outside of work, I like to cut a dash on the Ballroom dance floor scene and I love to travel.

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

Really great.  I feel inspired by the great people I have met who all are cheerful, friendly and keep offering to help in any way I need it.  I’m feeling well supporting in the new Attain environment.

What attracted you to Attain?

I stumbled across Attain almost by accident and was immediately impressed by the ethos of the company – with their commitment to the NHS, which is my life’s passion (in terms of work).  So I was interested to explore potential opportunities to continue using my skills to benefit the NHS through Attain.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

They are so committed to supporting the NHS that I almost feel that I haven’t really left the NHS. I am already on my first assignment.  I have discovered that the ‘Attain way’ is to work together in supportive teams so that we can draw on each other’s expertise to deliver a good job for our NHS clients.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

I am very excited about the future.  Ideally, I am looking forward to meaty pieces of work that will really stretch me.  In the past I have managed two transformation programmes simultaneously, so I hope this will set me up with the right skills to make career progress within the company.
