• An ‘honest broker’ service – making introductions, facilitating meetings and acting as a secretariat across the network of organisations

 

• Expert information and business intelligence which yields fresh insights into the challenges facing the system

 

• Opportunities for NHS members to work more closely with university members

 

 • Opportunities for members to collaborate with non-member organisations, such as industry

 

• A mechanism for strengthening relationships with commissioners in order to influence strategy

 

• Expert evaluation of service models which are recognised nationally – we work collaboratively with NIHR CLAHRC on this work

 

• Support for finding new solutions to healthcare system sustainability, including new sources of social investment

 

• Support for the development of NHS originated innovations – our database of NHS concepts for inventions now exceeds 100

 

• Improvements to clinical research activity by supporting delivery reliability, capacity and capability

 

• Project matched funding and co-funding opportunities for the region which will double NHS England’s investment into the region via the AHSN • A South West Patient Safety Collaborative for the region – to date our collaborative has received local and national acclaim and delivered world-leading training to 80 frontline NHS staff
