As an astute Senior Manager and Leader you’ll instinctively know what high quality health care delivery looks like and be genuinely excited about developing sustainable services, as well as consistently delivering on budget, revenue and activity targets.

The portfolio responsibilities are all encompassing including theatres, anaesthesia, elective services, orthopaedics general surgery, and radiology, amongst others. To enable us to achieve service excellence you’ll partner with the Chief of Surgery, nursing and allied health Head of Divisions (HoD’s) on the delivery of contemporary and multi-disciplinary models of care.

You consider it’s important to set the standards, to proactively anticipate issues and liaise with services to quickly remedy these.  You appreciate things are constantly changing and new technology and innovative ways of working invite possibilities but also challenges on which you need to lead and collaborate. You appreciate cost considerations are part of running a large division and can manage complex financial, resource and business decisions.   

You value the clinical leadership partnership, knowing that shared goals, teamwork and clarity of goals and accountabilities will set the scene for better patient outcomes and an enhanced patient experience.
