The Finegreen Group are supporting this large NHS organisation in the temporary appointment of an interim Financial Services Manager responsible for the day to day management of the Financial Services team as well as financial ledgers, creditor payments, debtors management and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
  • Provide technical advice to ensure effective implementation of new processes.
  • Delivery of good quality Annual Accounts in line with DH timetable and guidance.
  • Support monthly financial reporting including quality working papers.
  • Liaise with external audit and address queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the Agreement of Balances exercises and review of returns before submission.
  • Responsible for over-seeing and reviewing all control reconciliations and the clearance of all reconciling items, to facilitate a robust SOFP.
  • Completion of VAT returns and acting as the liaison point for VAT issues.
  • Design, develop and maintain monthly and ad-hoc management information reports with detailed Balance Sheet and cash flow information, including forecast year-end predictions.
  • Other responsibilities include managing SBS and other outsourced contracts, Cash Management, Capital Reporting and Corporate Governance.
  • Experience of the NHS Year-End process is a must.
