With an annual budget of over £1.1billion we are one of Yorkshire’s major trauma centres, a member of the Shelford Group and are collaborating with other NHS organisations, local councils and others to take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering NHS standards, and improving the health of the population we serve as one of only eight areas across the NHS to lead the development of an Integrated Care System (ICS).  

We are seeking an Operations Director who will work in partnership with the Clinical Director and Nurse Director to lead our Operating Services, Critical Care and Anaesthesia (OSCCA) Care Group.  This is one of the largest of ten Care Groups in the Trust and includes cross cutting services giving the role an organisational wide impact.  Reporting to the Clinical Director for OSCCA but with a professional link to our Deputy Chief Executive; this post will operate at the highest levels of the Trust and play a strategic role in our development. You will be a major contributor to the management of change within a high performing and dynamic Trust working in a vibrant and forward-thinking health economy.

You will need to be customer-centric and be able to adapt your experience to place patients at the heart of your decision making, as well as bringing a partnership style approach and a strong performance ethic. We are looking for leaders with an adaptive and engaging style that quickly engenders the trust and confidence of clinical teams whilst also holding them to account.
