Our client an NHS organisation is looking to appoint an Interim Access/Booking Manager. This role will be at interim contractor rates under the CCS NMNC Framework at Band 8a.
This role will start ASAP and will be for 3 months in the first instance.

Role brief:
  • Lead the day-to-day operational management across services within the Planned Care Directorate.
  • Lead continuous service improvement projects within the organisation.
  • Assist in the operational management of the Division in support of the Assistant Director of Operations and Associate Medical Director.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Operations in the development/improvement of Clinical Services.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Operations in the performance and business management aspects of the Directorate in order to achieve National and local objectives and targets.
Key skills and experience:
  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience.
  • A good knowledge of Government policy and strategy as it relates to the NHS including specific initiatives and an appreciation of how these impact on the service delivery
  • Minimum of two years senior management experience in a health care setting.
  • Operational responsibility for multi-disciplinary staff groups.
  • Evidence of successful collaboration with medical staff at a senior level.
  • Able to demonstrate participation in the management of change processes.
  • Evidence of performance management and the delivery of targets. 
  • Management of service budgets and delivery of financial targets and savings.
  • Leading service improvement through project management including planning, implementation and achievement of agreed objectives and timescales.
