Senior Performance Manager

The Finegreen Group is working in partnership with an NHS organisation based in the Midlands that requires an experienced interim Senior Performance Manager for a three to five month period commencing immediately.

The post holder is responsible for supporting the organisation to ensure that the performance management of providers meets the needs of their patients as specified in the NHS Constitution. This will involve working as part of multidisciplinary teams within and across the organisation to maximise performance within the constraints and flexibilities of evolving and changing national guidance.

Key responsibilities will include;                                                                          
  • Work with senior colleagues to ensure that performance reporting products are fit for purpose and enable effective performance management of NHS acute providers;
  • Monitor and analyse quality and performance feedback and produce report on analysis;
  • Support providers & CCGs with the development of robust improvement plans to deal with performance issues in a timely and effective way, recommending escalation processes where remedial action is not delivered to the required timescales. Prepare reports on provider performance against improvement plans;
  • Provide performance information relating to the commissioning process, and contribute to selected projects by providing performance management intelligence to corporate and multidisciplinary teams;
  • Support the development, negotiation and monitoring of the Local Quality Requirements schedule of the contract;
Key experience & skills to include;
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area;
  • NHSE assurance reporting experience and excellent data analysis skills;
  • Significant management experience in the NHS;
  • Experience of successful collaborative working and partnership development with a wide range of stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams on complex and difficult issues;
  • Front line operational management experience within an NHS organisation;
  • Experience of using performance information, benchmarking data and best practice knowledge to support service improvement;
  • Project management experience preferably using Prince 2 methodology.
