Director of Strategy & Partnerships
BCHC is one of the largest specialist providers of community health services in England. With 4,500 staff and a turnover of c. £280m, we deliver over 100 clinical services, in people's homes, health centres, clinics and inpatient facilities. We provide a wide range of services for children, young people, parents and families as well as adults and community services, two community hospitals, services for people with learning disabilities, prison healthcare in Birmingham, the internationally recognised West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre and one of Europe’s leading Dental Hospitals and School of Dentistry.
The city we serve is undergoing a massive transformation including HS2, preparation for the Commonwealth Games in 2022 and a successful bid to become a 5G city. One of the youngest cities in England, we also have a growing population of older adults and serve some of the wealthiest and some of the most deprived communities in the country. Following a large scale and well received colleague engagement exercise and the feedback from our recent CQC inspection, we are re-launching our vision, values and strategy. We have set an ambitious vision, ‘Better Care: Healthier Communities’ to support our patients to live well in healthy communities and as an organisation we have set out four big strategic objectives that will help us deliver on this vision.
BCHC is looking for a strong, dynamic and inspirational experienced leader to join us in our commitment to have outstanding services for our patients. As Director of Strategy and Partnerships you will be a member of the Executive Team and attend the Trust Board, reporting to the Chief Executive. You will be responsible for ensuring we have clear service supporting strategies and plans to deliver our vision and work across the health and social care system to build relationships and engage with our partners and communities as well as contributing to the development of a strong BCHC improvement culture.
You will need to bring experience of operating at or close to board level with a track record of developing strategies and delivering transformation and service improvement that spans organisational boundaries. Your leadership experience, ability and a passion for community services are more important than specific-sector experience. If you are interested in being a part of a talented and experienced team that is going to push our Trust into a new realm of health care delivery, we would love to hear from you.
