A large healthcare organisation is looking an experienced Managing Director for a period of 12 months, this role will be a board/executive level post. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Hold full membership on the organisations Board of Directors and is responsible for the effective strategic and operational management of the organisation; this will be achieved through the development, performance management and support of the services provided by the organisation; 
  • A key focus of the role is to develop and implement the agreed strategy & business plan for organisation. This includes but is not limited to: identifying and exploring opportunities to develop services, presentation of proposals for development to the Board and the implementation of plans and driving income growth; 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the services currently provided by the organisation and, consider the opportunities and restrictions associated with operating from a separate subsidiary company, to review future opportunities as they arise; 
  • Establish, manage and develop dynamic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in line with patient and community interests, best practice and commercial requirements to maximise opportunities for future consideration; 
  • Lead and motivate employees within the organisation, creating a culture of responsibility and accountability in which staff feel empowered, valued, respected and provided with appropriate opportunities for their development; 
  • Ensure that robust systems and standards of corporate governance are in place, including effective risk management and reporting, health and safety and Care Quality Commission assurance processes; 
A successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive experience operating at Managing Director level or equivalent, please note this doesn’t have to be healthcare related; 
  • An understanding/experience of working within a developing organisation, demonstrating within that time and increase in productivity/profitability; 
  • The client is looking for a fairly immediate start within this role for a period of 12 months, can be flexible if candidates do not wish to work a 5 day week. However please note this is a very operational within the organisation so will need to be visible/onsite; 
  • Must have executive board level experience within previous role(s).
