United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT) is one of the biggest Acute Trusts in the country delivering services across the UK’s second largest county.  With an annual income of c£450 million we serve a population of over 700,000 people from three acute hospital sites and several community facilities.  We are transforming the way in which we are organised, to ensure we deliver streamlined services and high quality care for our patients, whilst achieving our performance and financial targets. Our new Trust Operating Model is being implemented from April 2019 and we will move to four Clinical Divisions: Surgery; Medicine; Women’s and Children; and Clinical Support Services. Each division will be headed by a clinically led triumvirate.

This is an exciting time for ambitious leaders to join us as we establish our new Model. This change is about much more than a new structure. It reflects our philosophy to work as ‘One Lincolnshire’.  We are aligning our governance arrangements, our performance management structures and the way our support functions operate in order to deliver our ambitious 2021 transformation plan.  This approach is aligned to the direction of travel of the Lincolnshire STP and supports the opening of the new Medical School at Lincoln University and the launch of the Institute of Rural Healthcare based in Lincoln.

We are seeking experienced senior operational leaders with acute hospital experience for our four Divisional Managing Director positions.  With devolved accountability for the strategic planning, quality of service, performance standards and budgets of a division of up to £120 million, these are complex roles with high levels of autonomy and working closely with the Trust Board.  We will help you build your career with us and offer you the opportunity to work in a county which offers a great combination of excellent value housing, an education system which is renowned and with beautiful urban and rural environments.
