Job Details
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day management for primary care contracting team;
- Be a Primary Care Contracting specialist to the team, a sounding board who understands the primary care contract and related issues really well;
- Coach and empower the tea,, and give them the confidence to trust their judgements more than they do at presently;
- Ensure robust contract management is in place for the organisation circa 50 GP contracts;
- Work with colleagues (e.g. Quality team) to provide dedicated support for a couple of practices that are currently in special measures as a result of recent poor CQC inspections;
- Develop a coherent roadmap for the fast-tracking of Primary Care Networks in the city, both to deliver primary care at scale and provide the building blocks for local level population health management;
- Support in the refresh of the GP Forward View, as required by the recently published NHS Plan;
- Work with colleagues in neighbouring CCGs to consider options for aligning and/or bringing together the primary care functions in the multiple CCGs, and mapping out a transition process to achieve this;
- Must have extensive experience in Primary Care Commissioning and Contracting;
- Held a role at Head of AD/level;
