We are seeking two inspirational leaders to join our executive team as we continue on this journey; leading from the front, shaping strategy and initiating change, you will play a critical role in helping us to ‘Care, Achieve and Innovate’. The Chief Quality Officer (CQO) is a new role to our organisation and it is anticipated that this post will work extremely closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in providing and ensuring delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality service to our patients and public.

Chief Medical Officer – Competitive Salary

You will contribute across the full breadth of the corporate agenda and have responsibility for the professional leadership and education of the Trust’s medical workforce.

Acting as the Trust’s Caldicott Guardian and Responsible Officer, you will ensure that the required standards of confidentiality and information sharing are adhered to and will lead on Medical Education, Consultant Appraisal, Revalidation and professional standards.

A driven and influential leader, you will have an excellent track record of successful medical leadership in a large complex organisation and demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills. You will be experienced at Consultant level, hold current GMC/GDC registration and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register. The post is offered on a full time basis but may be able to accommodate some clinical time by agreement with the Chief Executive Officer.

Chief Quality Officer - Competitive Salary

Responsible for leading on, developing and embedding a robust strategy for corporate and clinical/quality governance and assurance, supported by our Governance Teams; you will establish and manage procedures to ensure that governance, quality and safety is a key responsibility for all employees.

You will provide expert advice to the Trust Board, Chief Executive Team and across the organisation, and ensure that this expertise is maximised thorough structured/specialist training programmes and effective communication techniques.

As a strategic and credible leader, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the NHS and it’s infrastructure, with the ability to assess, analyse, synthesize and act upon complex data. Highly credible in your field, you will have a successful track record at Director/Senior Management level and demonstrate understanding of negotiation theory and practice, combined with first class communication and influencing skills which will allow you to successfully motivate and influence effectively.
