Job Details

The Director of Urgent Care and Integration is primarily responsible for ensuring key strategic change programmes are delivered on behalf of the Trust, informed through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Specifically, the core responsibilities are to direct:

 

Operational delivery of NHS111 and PTS.

The Integrated Urgent & Emergency Care Programme

The PTS Transformation Programme and development strategy.

The Trust’s response to reconfiguration of the health and social care system.

Collaborative working with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

            

 

The Director is also responsible for development of the existing and new service models in line with Trust and commissioning strategies and national policy direction in relation to Urgent Care, Integration, NHS111 and PTS

Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the integration of the wider health and social care system, supporting the delivery of accountable care and integrated urgent and emergency care from an ambulance service perspective.

Development and leadership of strategic engagement with health and social care partners in order to deliver sustainable and integrated urgent care, ensuring that associated system wide and internal transformation plans are aligned and delivered through collaboration with partners.

Develop and lead implementation of a strategy for the future development of Patient Transport Services and NHS111 services, aligned to Trust strategy and external drivers for system integration, engaging widely with commissioners and other external and internal stakeholders to inform plans.

Secure and retain the Trust’s contracts for NHS111 and PTS services, developing commercial strategy for each service and leading the response to market testing in collaboration with corporate business development functions.
