Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is an exceptional organisation dedicated to offering world class services to children and young people for over 140 years.  We provide a wide range of services covering both physical and mental health in a range of acute and community settings with an annual income of circa £200m and more than 3,000 talented staff members.  We are working successfully with partners across Sheffield as part of the Place Based Partnership and in the wider South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System where we are leading and collaborating in several key workstreams and service areas.

Our longstanding Executive Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development is moving on to a new challenge locally and so at this exciting time in our development we are seeking a senior leader to join us in our mission to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of Children and Young People.  Reporting to our Chief Executive this role will have responsibility for leading our human resource services and the wider organisational change agenda; continuing to develop and implement both our exciting new People Strategy and Culture and Behaviour Strategy.  With additional corporate responsibilities for communications, this is a broad leadership position.  As a core member of the Executive team this role will work with alongside Board colleagues to develop and implement strategy and uphold our strong vision and values.

We are keen to hear from existing or aspirant Executive Directors of People and OD seeking a role in an ambitious organisation.  Previous NHS experience is not essential, we need a collaborative leader with transferable people management and organisational development skills gained in a complex, customer focused environment.  You will bring significant corporate experience and excellent communication skills enabling you to quickly build credibility with our staff and stakeholders.  At a time of transformational change in the delivery of healthcare services locally and regionally you will be central to leading our strategy for engagement and empowerment of our highly skilled workforce.  Working with Board colleagues you will thrive in building trusted and productive relationships with our staff, patients and our partners; creating an environment for the successful development of the Trust and the wider system in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.
