Shaw Trust is a progressive charity on an exciting journey to help five times more people over the next five years. For over 30 years, we have supported disabled and disadvantaged people to make positive changes to their lives through training and employment, and our ambitious plans need the right people to help us transform many more lives, in many more ways.

We have an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic service leader to oversee our health & wellbeing service, Live Well Kent. Working collaboratively with our commissioners for the service, Kent County Council, as well as participating Clinical Commissioning Groups, you will possess the necessary drive, determination and skills to ensure that a vibrant, community-based network of organisations is maintained, all of whom will contribute to making the service a resounding success.

Identifying risk, producing robust management information and ensuring that the service delivers within an operational budget, are all important aspects of this role and, working closely with, and managing, a staff and volunteer team, you will create a client-centred culture that proactively encourages service user involvement in the evaluation of the service.

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant experience, you will hold a recognised health and social care professional qualification and have a demonstrable background within a mental health or wellbeing environment. Experienced in managing services and maintaining effective service governance, you will have the leadership qualities and vision to help shape and deliver an innovative service for the benefit of our clients.

If you have a passion for the inclusion of people and creating opportunities for them to be active participants in their communities, this is the role for you.

The Trust offers excellent benefits and development opportunities. Working with us gives you far more benefits than the standard package; it gives you the chance to help turn someone’s life around.
